Fighters like Rigo and Loma can't even handle the Salidos of the world until they adjust to the pro game. How could they possibly handle someone like Manny Pacquiao?

If you're worried about the age gap, it's been an issue for years. Now that the pros want to try it he has a huge complaint?
Those 30 year old Cubans are still fighters without any pro experience, so there is at least some chance. Pro fighters are a huge jump in ability from any 30 year old Cuban fighter.

Wasn't Salads like 50 pounds heavier ? Amateur bouts you must weigh in the same day of the fight why do you think Gary Russell was passed out when he couldn't make 123 pounds

I don't necessarily buy this. Anyone who's been boxing for 10+ years at a high level is pretty much just a amateur in name only in my eyes. And this sorta deal with Cuba & some of the Russian states where there are 27+ year old men with a decade of boxing experience fighting kids 17-22yrs old who just got a couple years in the game is a big part of the reason why I'd have no problems with the Olympics turning into a pro boxing tournament. There is already a unlevel playing field in amateur boxing with these amateurs who get paid to box.

The Cubans boxing in Cuba have no other option if they want to stay in Cuba and box... To a certain degree, that's understandable.

You do realize the referees in the amateurs are much more strict than the referee's in the pro game, right? The referee's in the amateurs actually follow the rules and warn fighters for illegal tactics.
Salido would have been DQ'd in the first round if he were fighting in the amateurs.

                  Oh come on, 50 pounds?

No need to exaggerate like that.

Arum has a problem with this couse he can't make no money off pacquiao.the Olympics is the best competing against the best.basketball, baseball allows professional athletes to compete, for years other countries have been doing it,old guys beating on our young U.S. boxing team.cubans are the poster child for this.other countries have followed, that's why rigo and lomachenko were able to fight for titles and were at championship level ,these dudes won a trillion gold medals ,lomachenko was 1-0 and fighting for a title unheard of,same with rigo he had a few fights and was ready because of his old ass beating teens and competing in every Olympic .it would be fun to see a broner loose,or a salka upset win for a gold medal.bullsshhtt arum there's no money in it for you.
