Comments Thread For: Broner: I Knew I Had Theophane From The First Round
Adrien Broner had predicted an early knockout of Ashley Theophane. The early knockout didn't come, but Broner still knew early on that Theophane wouldn't make it to the final bell. [Click Here To Read More]
The question that raises is~ Why then didn't you really press your adavantage home and really make Theophane look like he didn't belong?
Whenever Broner really went on the offensive it looked like Theophane was about to fold and didn't belong in the ring with Bronner, but his offense was sparse over the whole fight even more so as the fight went on which allowed Theophane to hang and even thrive a bit as the fight wore on.
He drained out making 140 and he fatiqued throughout the 9-10 rounds.
Thats why when he stepped on the gas he could only go a short ways with pressure. The guy has a short but huge upper body (back) he can't make 140 and he won't have a lot of success at 147 unless he picks the right guys!
I think a hell of a fight would be Broner vs Bradley!
I know that Tim is not a big puncher but his work rate and heart would give Broner trouble enough to make it an entertaining bout!
Then the fans could have Teddy vs Broner for the promo crap.......
