He has all the fundementals of boxing. His footwork has gotten better to keep even the elusive Chris Byrd at the end of his long jab. Sam Peters tried to get inside and wasn't as successful either. Also, his conditioning seems to have slightly improved. He wasn't winded like he was against Brewster and DeVarryl.
However, as good as he is today, he still seems a little shaky since his loss to Brewster. This maybe a good thing....but until he fights Brewster again, the jury is still out about his dominance over the heavyweight division. Can he beat Serguei Lyakhovich, the man who beat Brewster? Probably since he fights small, despite his height. Seems like a tailor made opponent for Wlad's 1-2 punch. But can he take Lyakovich's hard rights to the body?
What makes Wlad so ingtriguing is that he is a good but beatable champion. Just like Brewster was.
