Haha yeah, in fairness he's probably talking about his unopened toy collection

Khan isn't the big star him or others think he is. I always got the impression the american boxing scene thought he's a huge star in the UK, but the truth is that he hasn't been for a long time and that they were expecting a big Hatton typed crowd to come over and spend big money.

The fact is Khan didn't even sell out his last fight in the UK and it's been about 5 years or more since anybody really cared about him.

Also nobody here really cares about Canelo either, outside of hardcore boxing fans he's just that ginger Mexican who lost to Mayweather.

It's not the mega fight it's made out to be. Sky would have picked it up if they could have made big money out of it. It's probably not going to be worth the effort for them.

Your post is spot on and true but the few remaining Khan fans will even twist this , Khans support is pathetic but he as only himself to blame for being the idiot he is.

I agree, he is too focussed on making his name in USA and even there he isnt too popular. Most of his fans are from Asia but they dont make him much money. Although apart from Fury and AJ, he is probably the most well known boxer in the UK. If he beats Canelo then maybe he can put his name out there.

Also not many people will wake up at 5am to watch a fight in the UK and so Sky were probably wise in not paying an extortionate amount to get this fight.

I wasn't bragging. I was stating fact and provided proof of ownership.

How do you want me to watch fights? I have offices in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Mumbai & Sao Paulo - Strangely, none of them show boxing.

All they have is Eddie's fighters, Campbell lost, Kell is fading unless he gets a big fight. AJ is a big deal but that all stops with a loss. The only thing Sky can claim is the Wlad/Fury 2 match up, which is for the legitimate heavyweight championship of the world.

Their cushy deal with HBO seems to be dead too. Isn't GGGs next fight on Boxnation? They couldn't even get Kovalev. The next Pacman fight ain't gonna be on it either.

Heck, the domestic set up, which was so good for Sky before the Hearn exclusive contract is dead now too. They put on a Saturday fight night card once in a blue moon and have a fight worthy of watch once in 2 blue moons.

You can't be so much of a Khan hater to actually not see the facts right before your eyes, unless you only just tuned into SKy and think this is as good as it gets, cos son, it ain't.
And what does that mean? You think Sky are losing out to BN? You must be delusional. Sky's pockets, for obvious reasons, are way deeper than BNs. It's obvious they CHOOSE not to put on those fights.

Because they know what the general public want. And it's not staying up until 6 am to watch steve bunce talk about Robert Helenius being 7 foot tall.

Sky have Anthony Joshua, Kell Brook, Tyson Fury most likely, James Degale & George Groves - Those 5 alone are Britain's biggest draws. Then add the whole roster of the Olympians, Callum Smith + Sauerlands entire roster incl. Dereck Chisora now too - BNs biggest draw for years.

They put on a saturday night card once in a blue moon?

So Kell Brook last weekend, Callum Smith this weekend? Two blue moons in one week! Fantastic coincidence

If I was situated in either US or UK I would maybe buy some fights too. But it's impossible for me as it is.
