Blackwell was totally outmatched for most of the fight, he was almost completely dominated by Eubank in nearly every round. It was a mismatch. But the problem is he kept coming forward, landing an occasional jab, and asking for more punishment, again and again, so the ref did no wrong. His team should have pulled him out when they saw he clearly had no chance of winning and was being thoroughly brutalized.

yeah as long as nick was fighting back he has to be given every right to continue
It was Nicks corner who knew him the most, perhaps they could have sttopped the fight a round sooner but there would have been complaints

          He wasn't fighting back.
There was only going to be one winner from the 5th round onwards.
It should have been stopped considerably earlier.
Nick Blackwell showed huge heart but he was overwhelming outgunned and outclassed.
He seems like a very likeable young man.
I hope he makes a fast full recovery and lives a long and rewarding and fulfilling life and that he never pulls on the gloves again in earnest.

The thing is I don't think people believed eubank would have it easy in this fight and yes nick was being hit by good shots and losing g rounds.. But people have got wins from being out classed in the past. Wasn't Julian Jackson being outclassed before knocking out herol graham?
