Did you read the article? DiBella said he has tried to get him fights in more PR-centric locations, but thus far Pedraza's trainer/manager has blown it by being difficult. They could have had this fight in NYC but Pedraza said he needed longer to get ready so Lou's hands were tied.

Dibella is notorious for being the cheapest promoter in the game.

Of course Pedraza is a nobody while being promoted by dibella. When's the last time dibella developed a fighter.

        Jermain Taylor?

to be fair to Pedraza, he must look at the hype of Crawford, then look back at his own fight with Klimov and wonder why he isn't in any p4p lists.

Pedraza can help his own case with a good win here. Smith is made to order, Pedraza should be able to set the pace. I'm not saying he can KO Smith, it would be good if he did, he needs to make it exciting. Be aggressive moving forward, and passive aggressive in reverse. If Verdejo is setting the bar, it's still low enough for Pedraza to get over.

What the hell is this comment. There are probably only like 10-15 promoters in the entire world that spend more/operate on a bigger level than Lou.

Why did Pedraza turn pro when he did? It made no sense. He was having his best moments as an amateur. He got a Silver at the 2009 World Championships and he was ranked in the top 5 (at least top 10) in his weight.
Had Pedraza stayed amateur, then Felix Verdejo would not have qualified to the Olympics. It would have been Pedraza.
Pedraza just needed like 1.5 years for the Olympics he should have waited.
He didn't even sign with a great promoter. He has to blame himself a little for what is happening to him now.

Pedraza is pissed off that he's with Haymon and PBC, he shows and expresses his displeasure and Dibella who is his manager/promoter craps on Pedraza. Way to be a loyal lap dog to Haymon, Lou.

Get the kid some fights in PR. I would to see a Pedraza-Gamboa fight in Puerto Rico the place would be sold out
