Damn you got to see see chacon vs limon LIVE...Im jealous AF.....Chacon is often forgotten about because Arguello and Sanchez....He was like Gatti but actually an elite fighter....he did suffer some upset losses doe
I'll agree with you as far as Floyd not being that same kind of fighter he was when he best Corrales and Castillo in the rematch. I was a huge Floyd watcher back then. But for me post 06, Floyd turned into a businessman instead of a fighter and to me that hurt him as far as his all time status goes.

I'm a guy who loves competition and loves watching competition. And when I'm a fan of a guy I want them to push themselves to there ultimate ability. Maybe you are content with Floyds competition but for me I thought he was so superior to other fighters of this generation that I wanted to see him push himself into a fight where I said "damn he is fighting who". Now with the competition of boxing being as sad as it was these last 10 years I know it's not all his fault that the competition for him was not out there. But there were fights that could have been made that could have taken his career even farther than it was, i.e. fighting for the middleweight title.

Dude I'm huge boxing fan who hadn't been all that excited about boxing in years. And to tell you the truth I spend more time on these boards talking boxing than actually watching it because for me it's more exciting talking about it than actually watching it these. That's how sad I think boxing is been these last few years.

Yea watching chacon-limon was and will always be my highlight of my boxing fan career. I remember it being smokey and the crowd being ravenous. I'm a lucky dude being that my first live boxing fight happen to be one of the best fights of all time. Late 70's to late 90's Sacramento was a hotbed for boxing. It's was great.

So....nobody has managed to name someone with a better resume than TBE over the last decade and a half or so? Just like I thought.

You're not getting it. Still being a p4p fighter is great and all but fighters have lost and were still in the top 10 p4p but just because you are still in their p4p rankings doesn't mean they are at their peak.

Ok who has fought and beat more p4p fighters at their peak than Floyd? Since 96? Be careful who you name because I'm going to nitpick the same way you idiots like to nitpick.

I'm was a huge fan of Floyd pre-'06 before he became this businessman type fighter.

But in the last ten years or so yea Floyds been the best and it will be hard to find a fighter with a better resume. But also in the last ten years of boxing this has been arguably the worst competition and worst fighters in boxing history. So having the best resume in the worst era of boxing isn't a huge thing to brag about IMO.

Floyd or Manny but that wasn't my point to begin with. My point was Floyd did cherry pick and that is undeniable.

Lennox Lewis from 96 to 2003 has a better resume than Floyd. And spare me how Floyd beat more p4p guys. That's the same bull**** list that has golovkin at 2 which you all cry about but then you say it has validity when it comes to Floyd opponents?

Not every top fighter cherry picks. Just because ali and srr did it, does it make it right to begin with?
