Wilder doesn't even get decent numbers considerig the amount of hype that media has put in about him. His last fight was an embarrassment with everyone supporting his opponent. I remember the parade put on for him in his home town after winning his paper belt. I counted 10 people and a couple of dogs.

Povetkin isn't small though, just he isn't a huge super heavy like Fury, etc.. Also Pov is a crafted and seasoned fighter, Wilder will have his hands full.

Fury is #2 p4p right now, check boxrec. He beat the #1 P4P fighter in the world in his last fight. Where was Wilder's last opponent ranked P4P? I'm guessing around 5000th.

I trust Boxrec's algorithm more than the biased Ring or Boxingscene rankings.

But if wilder is a bum like fury said, even shorter guys can do well against him. Frasier and mike Tyson were short.

If Wilder does ko him he's legit. The size difference is very significant but so is Povetkin's own power and Wilder's dreadful footwork.
