Do you know anything about how a body works? you can put on 10 lbs of muscle today and it doesn't mean that you can't take them out later. If you stop lifting weights, or take less steroids he he he... or lift less weights and eat less, and you'll lose the muscles in weeks...

My god. Some people don't understand **** here.

      It can be extremely difficult.

Ricky Hatton used to blow up in between fights like James Toney did, and he had to lose a lot of body fat to get back down to his weight.

Amir Khan is adding muscle. He's really beefing up. So he could definitely have issues if/when he moves back to WW, if he has to lose muscle.

Roy Jones, Chris Byrd, and Chad Dawson, all had major issues in dropping muscle to hit former weights.
Losing muscle is one of the easier things when those muscles are artificial... what you talking about? god... Amir is putting on muscle, and he will lose it fast if he doesn't lift weights in a few weeks after the fight.

What are you talking about, artificial weight?

You make it sound so simple.

There are a number of variables that could be problematic.

We don't know what Amir's going to do, do we?

We don't know how many fights he's going to have at JMW, we don't know if he's going to take a long break before going back to WW.

          Everyone's circumstances are different.

Theoretically, yes, athletes can detrain, but again, you can't ignore what happened to Roy, Byrd and Dawson.

If Amir went back too quickly like they did, he could encounter the same types of issues.

You can't just say it won't be an issue.

when he re-hydrates back, he'll come in bigger and stronger

some of the added on muscle mass will stay

if you look at floyd in his last few fights, he has looked bigger and thicker than he has looked in the past, even though he was still fighting at the same weight 147..

i felt khan lacked the muscle mass at 147, but that wont be a problem now...he's pushing his body to a new limit

Mosley went up to 154 for some fights and then back down to 147 for other fights and he always fought well at either weight. He must have gone up to 154 and back down to 147 at least 6 times and it never hurt him. A fighter just needs to allow enough time to lose weight slowly.
they didnt add muscle mass, it was just body fat.

Khan is adding muscle mass, you know how much he has to starve his body to trigger his body to start eating his muscles?
