    Why Does Winky Fight Southpaw?

I just don't get the concept. I know he successful, but why does he do it? There's so many disadvantages like balance problems, weakening of yo strongest punch, exposure to headbutt gainst orthodox fighta etc......Anyone knows why Winky chose to fight southpaw despite being a right handed boxer?

It works for his style. He has one of the best & most boring defensive styles I've ever seen.

People who fight southpaw usually (myself) have much better balance moving right and as for power its a toss up. I think i have equal power but i have more snap and a little better timing with the right. U do have to watch out for that right hand but i think the advantages far out way the disadvantages, such as giving a fighter a werid look and often slowing their punch output way down. Any who thats why Winky fights southpaw. Peace

hes semi right also ..its becuase his body alignment it all starts with the legs, his legs are set for him to fight southpaw and play basket ball right handed , his left is a little weak tho and he doesnt always turn it over.i dont see jermain beating him becuase jermain has zero lateral movement and ****ty defense he relies on speed and leans like roy used to with out roys movment .really all he has is that jab i think he sucks at fighting but is athletic as hell

the only I can think off is that he do this cuz his right hand, now a jab, pops faster and always beats opponent to the punch. His lack of power has definitely alot to do wit this southpaw stance not becuz Winky has weak hands.

Its for a lot of reasons one being comfort and timing and yes it fits Wrights style. And i have to say Taylor has the style to beat Wright. So for this year im and the end of 05 my picks are good. i am taking Taylor to stop Wright.
