Comments Thread For: Adrien Broner-Ashley Theophane: The Show Goes On In D.C.

The show will go on for Adrien Broner in the ring, anyway. Whatever fate awaits him once back home in Cincinnati will come after his scheduled showdown with Ashley Theophane. Their super lightweight title fight takes place this Friday at D.C. Armory in Washington, D.C., with Broner (31-2, 23KOs) deep in training camp in the nation's capital since early February.

i know many men that have been transferred from one state to the next, but i guess he would have to commit a crime in DC and the be jailed...after that they could **** him back to cincy...i know cities that share the same state will send warrants right to the other city and have it all taken care of

Correct, the arrest warrant in place disallows Hamilton County police to apprehend him in DC, or for DC police to arrest him and transfer to Ohio. Not sure where others previously obtained info from earlier to suggest the opposite was true... but in this particular instance, the show goes on... unless of course Broner does anything arrest-worthy between now and fight night.

He literally can just stay in D.C and wait for the Statue of limitation to kick in(which is 20 years) but hey..lol
