    What!!! Everyone isn't the same?

I mean no **** man. But clearly the sport has moved over to more of a business than a sport in many many ways. And I think its beyond obvious there are less guys wishing to find out "who the best is" & more guys wishing to get paid as best as possible. You can act like its all the fighters fault, but the reality is the whole sport has shifted to a money model (4 champions/PPV) more than a who's the best model (1 champion/free TV) like there used to be in the old days. And the structure of that money model we have now makes it so that even the guys who wanna find out how good they are have a hard time doing that cuz there are all sorts of obstacles in making that happen with promoters, networks & alphabet groups standing in between them quite often.

Nobody values Billy taking on Golovkin enough for him to make so much money. It's simply about if he feels he can win. If not than maybe he is looking to sell his 0 for the right amount.
I definitely think there is some of that, selling of 0's, that goes on in boxing. Idk if I'd say it quite like that. I think largely fighters think they can win vs anyone or see the road to a W at the world class level BJS is at. Even if BJS has shown & said some things that appear otherwise in relation to GGG. But whatever with the specifics to that I think boxers & managers try to make sure they get paid for the risk they are taking on with any particular fight that could damage their ability to make money in the future. I mean L's today probably hurt worse than they ever have in boxing.

I think this goes on with all champions to one degree or another not just BJS. Champions SHOULD be fighting champions is the logic fans use. And idk that it should be wrong thinking to think that way necessarily. The fact of the matter is BJS isn't really a champion. He's probably the 4th best title holder in most fans minds. There can only be one champion in a division & BJS clearly isn't it. Thus he should go more along the road you suggested vs being thrown right in vs the best of the best.

All that you said is true, but the point remains about legacy. It matters to some fighters more than others even if you don't see value in it. If BJS was offered 1.5 million than that is more than fair for the "risk" imo. Maybe not to him, but that ain't peanuts. And there are still fighters that would do it just for the chance to get the fight.

Blow job Saunders is treading water. Any top 154-160 beats him. Even a few welters could jump up weight and beat him. The only way he keeps winning is to fight these bursak types. Eubank Jr takes him in a rematch, Jacobs beats him, quillen beats him, canelo beats him, he's going to be the new Adonis Stevenson
