Kovalev's never been anything but respectful towards Ward:

“I respect that guy,’’ said Kovalev, who has the WBO, WBA and IBF pieces of the 175-pound title. “Andre Ward is a good man, an Olympic champion and great fighter. I don’t really know him personally. I haven’t really spoken to him. But you must respect him for what he’s done.’’

"I think right now it's early to speak about Andre Ward, because right now he's still not at light heavy. When he comes up to 175, then we'll have a reason to speak about our fight. Yea I want that fight too.

And Ward/Fonfara as well, I mentioned that earlier..... that mix would be great, with the winners facing off at the end of the year or early 2017.

Some might disagree, but Fonfara would prepare Ward really well for Kovalev..... Ward does not need to fight someone similar to Kovalev, Ward needs to be on point..... besides, not sure if there really is anyone close enough to Kovalev's style who operates at that level to benefit from using that approach.

Ward needs to be sharp for Kovalev, that camp would prepare him well, both with Fonfara, and with the guys that Ward would need to bring in to help him prepare.

Those fights would be great.

I didn't like that, it's my only slight on Kovalev..... but no big deal.

I like the bad-boy side of Kovalev, he should keep that up, but he got too personal with Stevenson and lost a bit of class.
