    Prayers for Nick Blackwell

Reports are still a bit vague but I've read in a few places that he is in a induced coma due to bleed to the brain and is being operated on. He fought like a warrior tonight. Another reminder of how tough this sport is. Prayers for Blackwell and his family. Wishing a steady recovery.

I know that being put in an induced coma is standard procedure for these things.

Peter Fury said on twitter he heard it's not too bad, so fingers crossed that is the case.

Hope those reports aren't true. I didn't watch the fight, but I heard he showed solid heart vs Eubank so was looking forward to seeing where he could go in the future.

Definitely a rough sport. Respect to anyone getting in the ring.

My prayers and thoughts go out to him and his family. As <3Pandas said, respect to all who enter the ring.

              It was rough.

The swelling above his eye was terrible and he collapsed in the ring about 2 minutes after the doctor stopped it.

It should have been stopped earlier, when Eubank had him pinned on the ropes and was just unleashing power shot after power shot. Eubank Sr was literally ****ing on the canvas and pleading with the ref to step in.

Hope Blackwell recovers, it looked bad.

Currently Blackwell is said to be in a coma with bleeding to the brain but he is said to be in a stable condition.

Eubank is a wise old pro. To a fan Blackwell looked like he was riding out the shots but was never in a position to turn around the fight after the first few rounds. He seemed fine but he obviously had internal injuries. My thoughts are prayers are with him and his family.

Always sad when this happens to a boxer. Prayers go out to him.
