Where did all the Kovalev backers go? As the fight gets closer i see less of these guys claiming Kovalev wins.

Kovalev has a strong chance to win. I feel like he's being very underestimated.

Solid boxing skills, doesn't rush in, has a deep amateur background.

Obviously he isn't as versatile as Ward, but he packs a big punch to make up for it.

Add to that, the general inactivity of Ward, the soft touches at 175.

I think the Krusher has a good shot of winning.

Ward's had two stoppage in his last 9 wins. He's a better boxer than Kovalev, but he's no Money Mayweather. Given that, he's moving up in weight class against a world class light heavyweight boxer/puncher and his last name fight was in 2012 against a very good Chad Dawson, I stand by my pick of Kovalev by KO.

Ward isn't a knockout artist but he does have pop. Several of his recent opponents have clammed up and fought to not get stopped. People say Dawson was weight drained (though he had moved up in weight from middleweight to light heavyweight originally, but that doesn't mean the weight couldn't have had an effect) but that was his only real opponent in a while and he stopped him. Ward has a 50% KO percentage, which isn't outstanding as far as those go but still something.

Kovalev was training with Usyk and Lomachenko the past couple weeks.

Ward is in for a disaster
