As the fight get closer, I'm leaning towards Ward getting a corner stoppage!

Ward was a big supermiddle and is pretty sizable at 175!

I think he takes it inside early then switches it up and starts countering Kov late with much harder shots since Kov does seem to show him gaping air late!

Still Kov is a mean SOB and prolly would go out on his shield before he gets on his bike to lose!

          Can't wait!

Kovalev is not only the hardest puncher that Ward will ever face but is also the smartest, if he can catch Ward the fight can be over, but the thing is that if Ward can take the punch, i can't see how Kovalev can outsmart Ward, so i have to go with Ward.

I like kov, I do but his game plan seems to be the same every fight. He shows some ability to adapt within a fight but I'm not certain he nor John David Jackson can create the game plan that ward can't handle. For all of kov''s advantages he's no inside fighter and he's very reliant on long straight punches which I think ward can neutralize with movement and in fighting

By "corner stoppage" you mean Ward gets stopped by his corner, right? (do you still remember our wager regarding this fight?)

We haven't seen Kovalev face an adaptive fighter of Ward's caliber, he seems in his comfort zone in all his fights, what happens when he can't seek and destroy like he is used to?
