If Ward loses, the fans will call for him and GGG to fight at 168.

yeah i dont doubt it. Think they will pretty much pretend the fight didnt happen and go on the offensive, and rather than praise kovalev, or discuss the fight, we will see a hell of a lot of 'GGG has to move up in weight' threadsComment

I can see the moronic side of the Golovkin fan base claiming a victory for Golovkin if Kovalev does indeed win.
Ward fans wanted this fight win or lose, we aren't the ones that made threads saying Ward would duck, retire, pull out with an injury. Neither are we the ones making threads about refs and judges months in advance of the fight.
So tell me what side of fans are likely to be making excuses when their fighter loses??Comment

Probably right. It will be "Kovalev beat a SMW who barely fought in 5 years".
Anyway i hope we get no excuses in this one. Both are very good fighters and i don't care who wins. I just hope for a good fight.Comment

Also, fuq anyone who acts like there's true Ward fans on here. I believed in the guy throughout the inactive period when many of today's "fans" were using him as the butt if jokes, dismissing his resume, saying he was irrelevant, etc. Just because people are picking him over Kovalev doesn't mean there's a lot of fans.Comment

I read on here where a poster said that Ward should have fought Kovalev in 2013 and that he waited for him to get into his mid 30s before fighting him. Like really?
The "Kovalev" fans seemingly have way more material to work with when it comes to excuses.
Ward the fighter doesn't make excuses, he doesn't tell you he was sick when he doesn't perform to the best of his capabilities.Comment
