Kovalev isn't off balance that often and when he is he recovers quickly. Sometimes you sacrifice balance when you press and throw if you don't connect on punches with steam.

Ward is an accurate puncher but he would have to land the perfect shot to drop Kovalev who is heavy, and has a granite chin. I could see him get wobbled, but not because he's hurt, more just from the sheer impact of a good shot.
