Haye would have been a good snake oil salesman back in the day.

        erm....who?

But I guess it does good numbers at the O2 and on Watch. Having said that, I think Haye is being very clever with his comeback and testing himself, his new physique and his age against relatively safe options.

I reckon he will probably squeeze in another couple fights this year and push for a fight with AJ next year, depending on AJ being IBF champ of course.

I think Haye looks through boxrec and finds guys who's record looks quite good on paper but you know they're bums.

Seems like another tune up but against an opponent with at least some pedigree.

We can't realistically expect him to take a dangerous fight after so long out, a return fight which turned out to be a mismatch and a new trainer. The bigger fights will come! I'm just glad we're talking about the heavys again.

I may be wrong but weren't tickets for this bout on sale/pre-order way before the opponent was announced?

If that is the case then no wonder Haye and his team chose an absolute nobody. Like I said I may be wrong but the point remains - there are tons of people over here that still believe that Haye is great for the game and the life of the division etc...There are enough people willing to see him fight cans so that's what we get.

I swear he could fight his mailman on a Sunday morning and there would be some people over here that would hype it up.

But seriously Briggs has a point, if Haye was gonna fight someone good fair enough but i'm sure everyone would rather him fight Briggs than this dude.
