Bleed on the skull apparently, not the brain. He's been put into a coma anyway to be treated.

Let's hope he makes a full and speedy recovery.

Does anyone know the difference between a bleed on the skull and a bleed on the brain? As far as i can tell from google they're equally bad. The first just means the blood has accumulated on the outer layer of the brain near the skull, whilst the second means the bleeding is internal to the brain itself

stroke and bleed in the brain are differents things? i'm asking because in spanish i read "derrame cerebral" and bleed in the brain seems more accurate, google translated to stroke that's why i used that definition.

        awful news if is true

Magomed abdusalamov suffered a stroke not long after he was induced into a coma and that left him with severe brain injury.

I hope this is not the case for Blackwell.

            I'm not sure actually.

But yeah, both seem equally as bad and the fact they had to put him into a coma obviously means it's extremely serious.

As i said in another thread, this is why nobody should ever call any fighter a coward, no matter how much they may dislike a fighter. They put themselves at risk of this or worse every time they get in the ring.

In the Press Senior was asked about why did you call boxing a fool mans game.

He mentioned speak to Gerrald Mcclellan or something along those lines.

Hope Blackwell has a speedy recovery.

He took too many punches, the ref should have stopped that fight but at the same time he would have been crucified for stopping that fight.

                      Hindsight is 20-20 though.

In reality, Blackwell has never touched the canvas in his career and known to be tough. He was taking a lot of shots but he was always fighting back and never looked completely out of the fight. So you can understand why it wasn't stopped earlier.
