This is a reason i hate when people call any fighter a coward, no matter how much they might dislike a guy, no man who steps through those ropes is a coward when they're putting their health at risk.

Fingers crossed he'll be ok anyway. Extremely tough guy, not many fighters would have stood up to that punishment he took,

It should have been stopped earlier, but then people would have cried about an early stoppage as always.

When a come forward fighter is pinned on the ropes and getting hammered with power shots, you know he's in trouble. Eubank, in consecutive rounds, hurt him and backed him to the ropes and unloaded with extended power combinations.

Hope he's ok, he took unnecessary punishment in those final rounds.

Barry McGuigan tweeted that Blackwell has a bleed on the brain. I doubt a man of his integrity would tweet that if he didn't know.

Isn't the procedure normally to induce the patient into a coma and operate on the brain immediately?

Awful news.

Eubank Sr was literally punching the canvas and pleading with the ref to stop the fight earlier when Blackwell was pinned on the ropes taking those combinations, Jr also turned to the ref at a point and asked him to step in.

It should have been stopped, but people complaining about early stoppages makes refs hesitant.

I agree, i really like gary lockett as a trainer, he's really underrated imo, but he made a big mistake here, he had no chance to win on the card's and was getting battered and his face was a fcked up mess, he should of stopped it...he was reading waaay too much into eubanks 'tiring'. even if he was blackwell wouldnt of been able to stop him.

I got a bad feeling about this...hope he's fine and it's blown out of proportion..

They were in that corner telling him Eubank was getting tired and asking Blackwell to keep pushing, despite him getting beat up and landing nothing in return.

Fury and Saunders goaded Jr pre-fight also, continued doing so throughout and Jr put it on their friend in response.
