Sounds like someone in team Chavez smartened up and killed the idea of him fighting Jack. Jack was all bad for Chavez (ironically I see Bute beating Jack).

Chavez isn't what I consider a legit contender, he's a celebrity fighter like Oscar was in his later years, a guy with decent skills who's uncommitted to the sport and just in it for big money fights.

Chavez/Rameriz would make more sense, but Chavez/Golovkin or even Chavez/Froch are easily the two biggest fights that can be made with Jr, unless Alvarez is willing to move up to 168lb (which he could, but then he'd be blowing his excuse vs GGG).

Jr. would make a useful stepping stone/stage prop for somebody who really needs the money and wants to better his life like Gilberto Ramirez. I really hope they make that fight.
