Why has this pointless rematch taken such a long time to make? Fury could have squeezed in the Glazkov defence in the meantime and not been stripped while waiting for this old fool to find his balls again. Hopefully Fury retires Wlad for good and goes on to fights that actually matter to the current division. Bring on Ortiz, Wilder or Povetkin. AJ and Parker can get some next year.

The problem isn't Wlad not being able to pull the trigger, the problem is his inability to fight aggressively. Maybe he can change that but at 40 I doubt it.
It has been that way since he lost to Sanders and Brewster. Before that he was actually pretty spectacular and agressive. But because of his chin and stamina he had to change his style and become a safety first fighter and it worked well for him until he fought a bigger guy whos faster than him. Against Fury he would need to fight like he did before his KO losses but i dont see it hqappening. Hes afraid of getting knocked out again plus hes 40 years old now.

I understand he was more aggressive for a small portion of his career but even then, he relied on backing guys up because of his size and length, i.e. with the use of his jab, which has always been decent. But he has fought defensively for so long and trusts his own recuperative powers so little, it's difficult for him to change both physically and psychologically.

I may be wrong and he could stop Fury, who knows.

Anyone can stop anyone at heavy, if they land the right shot. Wlad isn't going to stop Fury though. Too timid, too hesitant, too lacking in skill. Fury will lay a beat down on him and either knock him out or make him retire on his stool. Might even end on a cut, if Wlad tries to uppercut himself again or land a blatant headbutt like he did in the first fight.
