It's that simple, really. I could see if he has tested the waters there before, for someone else, but HE HASNT. Period.
Cong****, you have reached larry levels of ******ity. Thats a rare sight. But you've done it.

Both are bad. 155 is a little worse.

155 is a self-serving weight class and and starting to become an embarrassment. But, 154-168 was a bluff. So, 155 wins by default.

          2. Make a revenue split deal and fight GGG at a catchweight

          3. Vacate / get stripped

Those are his choices. The only "leverage" Canelo has here is money. Thats it. All the other leverage is on GGGs side.
LOL ... Yeah...and guess what, money is all the leverage he needs.

Also, I'm not so sure the WBC would strip Canelo (though they should).

As for GGG, he was Cotto's mandatory, but he agreed to step aside for Canelo, then agreed to step aside for Khan.

He obviously doesn't care about the belt, he's begging for a money fight.
So, in this world, if he wants Canelo he needs to bend over and hope Canelo takes the risk.

You can whine and complain about it all you like, but that won't change reality, GGG is to blame for this situation as much as Canelo.
He could have forced his hand with Cotto and Canelo both, instead he is still there, begging for a fight, but whining about 160 and mandatories at the same time.

At this point if Canelo vacates GGG has wasted two years (and because he was chasing money, not belts or glory).

To answer the thread: both are to blame.

My hope is that this fight gets made in 2016 , at 155-160 or anything in between, but it doesn't look like it'll be the case at this point.

Yea, people somehow forget that the only reason these guys are doing this is FOR THE MONEY. It's their job. I don't know a lot of people who would roll into work every day and do the bump and grind for anything other than money. And, I say that as a guy who loves his job.

Absolutely, and that is especially true for a boxer.

Imagine getting back home all beat up and tell your partner:
" Hey, love, we are broke and can hardly afford food, but I got a ****ing linear title. Who cares about money?, I'm a warrior".

However, what do you think about this.... Canelo's first title defense is coincidentally in favor for Amir Khan, meaning the catch weight, and Khan is the only boxer with final produced earnings that could help settle the situation that GBP has with Nelo's previous promoter and current suit. So that circumstance for the first voluntary title defense for a "welterweight" at 155 which another one of his competitors wants a spotlight too is calling out Khan for a sptlight at 160, Brook.

If in theory Abel wants to fight the best, since he has a Cuban goods in his stable - Brarrera - who ranks Lara highly, then why hasn't Loeffler or those guys ever challenged Lara to move up to 160? Why didn't we ever hrar or read about that if Lil'G is about bluffs? Truth is Barrera would certainly talk to Abel that Lil'G vs Lara wouldn't be good...

So stating 154-168 is more ****** than a.bluff. If Nelo fights again at 155 then I will admit he should be crucified. If not, well then Cotto only influenced GBP to follow that style at 160. Until then anything about Nelo and 155 is just tacky. Those are the people that are just desperate for Lil'Gs career. If Nelo fights Lil'G at 160 then it'll a better story for all. Also I'm sure drug testing will be heavy for that bout come around.

Said? Which one and at which time you're referring to, Abel or Lil'G? At least so many Lil'G fans are now realizing that those statements have finally caught up with them.

Candela is a straight up biatch, plain and simple. Lil G has scared guys into retirement and scared them into creating their own divisions.
