    the lineal championship

dose it mean anything anymore?? especially in the mw division ?? say khan beats canelo, then khan decides to stay at 154, or goes to 147 for a rematch with danny garcia, then danny garcia beats him this would make danny garcia the lineal middleweight champion.

    this is a complete mess.

Why would Garcia beating Khan at 147 make him the lineal champ at 160?

because if khan beats canelo and decides to fight danny and danny sparks him again danny in theory would be the champ right ??

lol..no thats not how it works at all man..lol..If Khan leaves the division then the lineal title will go vacant and lineage would be re-established when the 2 best at 160 fight

The truth is none of the belts, alphabet belts, Ring, lineal, define who's the champion anymore by themselves. Thats how effed up boxing is.

I suppose there are arguments to make that if you got this belt & that title you are "the champion" or if you got 3 or more alphabet belts you are "the champion", but its a jumbled mess of a situation that has surely helped poison people against boxing & driven them away from the sport. But without dispute no one belt/title defines "the champion" anymore.

lineal titles on this forum dont mean anything when a fighter somone likes hasnt EARNED one

the lineal title is and will always be the most important title in boxing.....unifying all the belts are beating the top contenders is just the same so I dont understand why people on this site try to mimimize the importance of the man beating the man

There are other mma champs. That's why emilanko was considered the real heavyweight champion
