Don't think it's cause he's light, it's because the guy stays in shape year round. He doesn't wait around for fights, he likes to stay active and when you're active you tend to stay at fighting weight.
Others however fight only once or twice a year so they blow up between fights.

It's not unusual. He was 165 against both Lemieux and Rubio 30 days out

Well at least we know that 160 is not a problemas, what can be the lowest he can get? 155 or 157( starting healthy that is)

He won't fight Canelo at a catchweight. He will demand the fight be at 160 pounds as it should be.

He says he can make 154 and stay strong. It's his body and he should know. He would fight at 154 for a super fight with Mayweather only. He is suppose to fight Canelo for the WBC middleweight title which is supposed to be fought for at 160 top weight. He is right and Canelo is wrong. I don't think GGG will budge off of 160 and he shouldn't have to. If Canelo can't handle 160 he shouldn't try to hold on to the 160 pound title and defend it at 155. I am a big Canelo fan but he can't start his own weight class for title fights.

Light but that doesn't mean he can (or will) strip that much off necessarily. He will probably still come in 159-159.5 lbs. How much lower he can go is still up for debate.

I don't know how much Floyd would have paid GGG at 154, if at all...
... But I guess that Golovkin may win big money by fighting Ginger at 155...
But I predict that GGG would rather go down at 158-157... for a better purse split. It's more healthy at 158-157...

(I do not encourage such catch weights, though...)

Eddie Hearn just said a few days ago they're looking at Brook vs Golovkin at 157lbs. Hearn said if he thinks it'll sell out a stadium they'll do it and he's contacted Loeffler about it. So if Canelo, Saunders, and Jacobs continue to run scared, Gennady's got some freak show options that'll atleast raise his profile in Europe.
