Lemieux is GGG toughest foe yet, right? I think most would agree on that. Stiverne is arguably a more competitive foe than he is, so arguably wilder's is better than GGG's. Now if you rank GGG top 3 because of his KOs, wilder is 34-0, 33kos- so that's better as well. Not saying he is top 5 P4P, BUT if they put GGG up there, there's no reason why wilder shouldn't be there as well...while on the subject, so should Danny Garcia, but we won't get into all that in this thread lolLast edited by chepboxingking; 03-23-2016, 11:37 AM.Comment

povetkin would be by far his biggest scalp. the stiverne fight was seen a pick 'em primarily because we knew so little about wilder at the time, rather than because of stiverne being particular good. we now know that wilder is a level above stiverne - but so is povetkin. the new question is whether wilder can surpass this level too and join fury and wlad at the very top of the divisionComment

I think Povetkin is without a doubt the best Wilder has faced yet.
Overall I think Povetkin is a more talented fighter and boxer, but Wilder's power can bail him out at any time. If Wilder stops Povetkin then the sky is the limit, this is going to be a huge test for him.Comment

I'm not sure who qualifies then, because Povetkin is one of the most proven heavyweights in the division, second only to Wlad, resume-wise. Stiverne might be a bit tougher, and Scott a little slicker, but neither of those guys combined the skills, toughness and experience of Povetkin.
Anyway, this just sounds like an effort to psyche himself up. Nothing wrong with that if it nets him the win.Comment
