Cotto has been in some of the biggest fights of the past ten years....Mayweather, Pacquaio, Mosley, Margarito...the entire boxing wolrd casuals know cotto .he was far more internationally known than Canelo.

Also he was a more proven fighter, fighting a bigger guy.....what did canelo think, he was gonna get 50/50 or 60/40

Since when is fighting your mandatory at an official weight class giving up an advantage? So canelo wants to keep the middlewieght belt,call himself a middlweight champ,but doesn't want to fight middleweights at 160? You can't have your cake and eat it too.

If he isn't forced to drop the belts it will just be the latest and greatest disgrace to the sport. Might as well just eliminate all weight classes and have every fight be at a negotiated weight every single time, so nobody at the top will ever fight anyone dangerous ever again.

Mayweather made him drop 2 pounds and he got a payday that his subsequent fights combined probably still haven't topped.

On the last Fight Game, Max said the fight has to happen by Cinco de Mayo weekend 2017. So that tells me the fight likely isn't happening in September.

I completely understand where Canelo is coming from here. I see no reason why GGG can't do what others have done-make concessions to get the big payday-whether he is the mando or not.

GGG doesn't do anything outside to make GREAT fights. He's never ONCE went up in weight. Heck fkn Adrien Broner has at least 4 weight classes under his belt. Ggg ZERO. And he never will have one.
