Kid Gavilan twice, Henry Armstrong, Zivicx2.

In an era with only a single belt, take any modern day fighter and remove people from their resume that you consider a significant win because they had an alphabet title, thats what its like discounting guys the Robinson fought who were no. 1 contenders but could never win the title because Robinson was around.

You are comparing different eras and don't realise that the numbers 1, 2 and 3 contenders in his era that he beat would hold the 'WBO, IBF, WBC' whatever belts today.

Even thought Floyd was probably behind against Maidana but I always felt homeboy was in control. Judah fight I feel showed more greatness. Even in the Mosley fight how he took that right hand away after eating it twice flush

I see. Sometimes it takes a certain style to bring out those traits. For example, we wouldn't know how great Floyd's inside game was without seeing fights like Cotto, Maidana, etc. It's possible that the missing technical ability is due to the limited footage.

Fair point. I think there's different levels to adversity.

I find the mistake a lot of people make when judging all time greats is they try to match them against each other in fantasy match ups and from there determine who would win.
This to me is the wrong way of doing it, as nutrution, training methods and many other things have changed over the years. What you have to do is judge guys by their era. And in that Robinson cannot possibly be overrated.

Different era... Don't bring him to this era, take your hero's to his era...
Training technology, no shakes, no injections, etc!!

He would mash Floyd, PAC, Marquez, and a few other guys in the same month!!!
