  • Comments Thread For: Mayweather on Broner: In His Two Biggest Fights, He Came Up Short

Retired former pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. has once again criticized the behavior and antics of close friend Adrien Broner.

Mayweather, now a full-time promoter, has one of his fighters - Ashley Theophane - challenging Broner for the WBA junior welterweight title on April 1 at the DC Armory in Washington, DC.

So what it's a strip club. In this incident Broner is at a Walmart throwing $1 dollar bills in the air, he's a joke. Mayweather can do whatever he wants, he earned it unlike Broner.

Floyd is no joke with boxing....cant be a clown and not be a winner.

Idk what they was thinking pushing him so hard...jumping two weight classes when he had been.beating on smaller fighters and struggling in key fights

              Shots Fired

Money May is right Broner has come up short in the biggest fights of his career thus far. But the thing about it is he lost at Welterweight and he will not have success at that division.

He belongs at Junior Welterweight just like guys like Robert Guerrero, Andre Berto, and Luis Collazo should have been. None of those guys had much success at the welterweight division. Don't get me wrong they got paid but they got dominated by the elites that they fought.

Broner should handle Ashley then try to make fights with the top Junior Welterweights that are mostly with HBO.

Postol, Crawford, Lucas, And Herrera would all be good fights to make.

I don't even think Floyd and Broner are "close" friends like the article states. Broner attached his name to Floyd's so much in his early career that Floyd eventually had to acknowledge him. Maybe invited Broner over to his gym from time to time but that's about where it ends.
