Why? Do you stop short of your goals because someone isn't happy with how far you've come?

168 is no better than 160 and the upcoming talent available in the near future is worse, non-existent basically.

Even if Degale fought him if Golovkin wins he'll be in the same position with everyone else unwilling to fight him, unable to unify, plus the top guys are with various promoters like Haymon and Sauerland unlikely to do business. Who else is there a washed up former MW in AA or Jack who got sparked out by Edwards?

He'll have three MW titles by years end (WBA, IBF, WBC) then the possibility of Saunders or Jacobs with guys like Eubank, Khurtsidze, Magomedov, Murata, Derevyanchenko, Blanco, Khytrov, Soro ready or near ready. There is a nice run available for him during the next couple years.

People only hype that division up to hype up ward. Before the tourny, nobody gave a sschit about 168. They said it was weak. Soon as ward wins, it became the greatest division of the last 30 years.
