Mayweather has done alot of charity work so WTF are you on about?
Besides, he's a self made multi millionaire who runs his own company and makes seven figures a month, who also has continuously thrived against all the odds and despite the worst case of adversity a professional sportsman could ever face (sheer number of haters like you that he has is ridiculous).
He is a hardworking, diligent, dedicated, and motivated man who doesn't allow the hateful white man to keep him down. How much more of a role model could the black folk ask for?
Is he perfect, is he Jesus? Hell no! He has his flaws, but who doesn't? Jim Lampey? Rondas Rousey's married boyfriend? Manny Pacquiao? Donald Trump? George Bush? Tiger Woods?
Hell no! No one is perfect, but you don't have to be in order to be a good role model. You only have to have success in life and display the qualities that took you there (intelligent, business savy, dedication, mental fortitude, etc etc), because if you don't have that no one knows you or gives a **** anyway.
Take the good and leave out the bad. That's how fans are supposed to look at role models if they are smart, because they should know better than to think there's someone out there that is totally good.Comment

Dedicated himself to his craft since he was a kid, rose to the top of the sport in terms of ability, changed his persona in order to become the number one attraction in boxing, moved his family to Las Vegas, they're all eating good, healthy and happy, his parents are healthy and taken care of, his kids are in the best schools, he retired on his own terms, his and family's future is secured, due to smart business decisions he's still earning, he himself is still healthy, retains all his faculties, is not damaged at all from the sport, God fearing, never took any days off, made some mistakes, served time for those mistakes, didn't let them bring him down.
He worked extremely hard for his money, worked extremely smart for him money, took no days off... He earned the right to do whatever the hell he wants to do with his money, and claiming he's not a roll model because of that is a very subjective, biased and slightly butthurt sounding thing to say.
Its all about personal perception, and in my eyes, a person who sweated, worked hard on a daily basis, and made it to the pinnacle of his profession due to his work ethic as well as his talent is a role model to absolutely everybody, not just black people or **********.Comment
