With the event itself already a joke, Roy Jones Jr. spared himself further shame in scoring a 2nd round knockout of Vyron Phillips in a special event Sunday evening at Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona.

Jones allowed Phillips to have his moments early before catching him with a leaping right hand shot late in round one. A sweeping right hand produced the knockout blow, dropping Phillips on the spot and resulting in the referee ending the fight in mid-count late in round two.
