I think Mayweather is the pinnacle of pure boxing skill and is rightly considered TBE, but imagine if all your favourite fighters fought like Mayweather. Would you still watch Boxing?

If all boxers had ONE style, I wouldn't watch. Regardless if it's Mayweather or Mike Tyson.

Boxing has different styles and those style make the fights interesting, its like asking if everyone in the world acted the same..that would make for a boring planet..we need diversity to create certain elements of excitement and suspense

He is the greatest of this era, but he is not the pinnacle of pure boxing, nor is he the GOAT.

And that will never happen, part of what boxing is, is a mixture of styles, schools, and tactics. I would watch it regardless though, in a fantasy world where all the fighters fought exactly the same.

Nah we watch boxing because fighters like Barrera can come along and shut down the Prince.

If everyone fought the same way, then boxing would be very boring.

What we need more than fighters having Mayweather's boxing style, is fighters having Mayweathers gift for self promotion. He was the ultimate self promoter.

True that. The main reason I like boxing is I like watching the diverse styles going against each other and seeing how a certain style can overcome the other.

But if everyone had the same style then boxing would be as popular as the sport of cricket.

Then it wouldn't be boxing because boxing is a sport consisting of several styles
