Comments Thread For: Albert Sosnowski Retires With Win, Runowski Victorious

Lesser known Polish promoter Marcin Siwek staged a small show in a small town of Zyrardow in central Poland. The biggest name on the card was involved in the least competitive fight, however, as Albert 'The Dragon' Sosnowski (49-7-2, 30 KOs) dropped his Hungarian opponent Andras Csomor (14-10-1, 12 KOs) down with a left-right bomb and finished him soon thereafter in round two.

Post # 14000 In My Boxingscene Career...

A name I forgot about... He was the 2nd guy to lose to Zuri Lawrence & get a title shot. Jameel McCline was the 1st. This is one guy who never earned his title shot...

Wasn't Sosnowski a late replacement for someone? Maybe David Haye? It's been a while....

I took a look at this Zuri Lawrence in BR, one of the weirdest HW careers I´ve seen. 24 - 15 - 4, ZERO KO wins, but Ws over Vidoz, McCline, Sosnowski and a draw vs Ray Austin.

He was a solid C level journeyman. He fought lots of contenders & usually could give them rounds. He was a survivor. He was tough to look good against. He would hold & smother punches. He would let lots of arm punches go & if a guy didn't come in shape he could outwork them.

Just looked around and you're right.... he got the shot because the had a European title. Actually pulled out of what would have been a good fight against Audley Harrisson to fight Vitali.

In fact, I ****ing bought the 24 dollar integrated sports PPV.

Hey, i wanted to watch some boxing on a lazy Saturday afternoon. This was before PBC heard our cries and came to the rescue.
