Comments Thread For: Canelo: I'm Not Underestimating Khan, I Know He's Dangerous

Mexico's Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, who is the current World Boxing Council middleweight champion, is clocking up the miles and sparring the rounds in a rocky robust, no stone unturned preparation to defend his crown on May 7th at the Arena T-Mobile in Las Vegas, against agile and able former world champion Amir 'King' Khan in a duel organized by Golden Boy Promotions.

Lowly Khan was picked to make Canelo look good but Why?

the small 140lb Khan who was ignored by boxing at 140 and 147lbs was hand picked by Canelo to make the Mex look good in a big win. But beaTING THE LOW RAG kHAN PROVES NOTHING AT ALL AS kHAN IS A NOTHING AT ALL TYPE OF THING. tHERE ARE NO TOUGH ARABS AND NEVER HAVE THERE EVER BEEN A TOUGH ARAB. YUK? DUMB PICK cANELO BUT THAT IS MEXICAN LOGIC. SI'

There is pressure on Canelo in the sense that he has to blast Khan out here - and that probably doesn't gain him any real credit. That is par.

I can't get excited about the fight. It doesn't seem worth waiting for. Hope I am wrong. 90/10 in Canelo's favour.

Candela, cut the schit, you know this is a cherrypick fight. No one actually thinks that Khan has a shot, he was getting wobbled by Chris Algieri, you read that right, freaking Chris Algieri. Now that he'll be up against you and outweighed by 20 pounds on fight night, you'll steamroll his ass in 2 rounds. Then you can call up Breidis Prescott while you continue to duck "lil G". Now piss off coward.

Let's not get confused here ,Canelo is fighting a guy who is a natural welterweight and apart from stalking top fighters Khan has never beaten any and has never fought above welterweight. This is a complete cop out by Canelo who likes to call himself the middleweight champion but won't fight a middleweight.

This talk from Canelo is nonsense such is this fight.
