Herrera please dont hold your breath for that dude. Even if he signs the dotted line, he will most likely not make weight and GBP will throw $ in your face to take a high risk fight and rob you on the cards. Herrera shouldve joined PBC, GBP has done him no favors.

Danny Garcia, Benavidez, Lundy and had Matthysee but he pulled out and might end up with Gomez. Golden Boy has gotten him good fights. If he were on PBC you think Haymon would let any of his guys face him? Think so then why aren't any of Haymon guys facing Lara? Haymon wouldn't put any of this top guys in the ring to look bad against Herrera like Danny did.

I like this fight not as much as the Matthysee fight but a great substitute. The real issue is will Gomez make weight. The kid has all the talent and win over Herrera will instantly make people forget about his issues last year missing weight. It's sink or swim time for Gomez. And Herrera has made a lot of fighters look bad a win over Gomez is just another notch on his belt and gets him a big money fight with one of the top dogs at 140/147.

But it would be a very solid one. Especially if Luis Ortiz fights Alexander Ustinov.
