Comments Thread For: Video: Canelo Alvarez Showing Speed and Power in Camp

"Training for this fight is off to a great start," said Eddy Reynoso, trainer for Canelo Alvarez. "We have been in camp for a few weeks and actually started in Mexico before the press tour. We are taking the fight against Amir Khan very seriously and want to be prepared for anything on May 7. We expect Canelo to train very effectively as he always does. He is very dedicated and serious about the sport."

The king of the division will be crowned in May...KING Khan. You will marvel as he recreates the movements of Ray Leonard to put on a boxing clinic.

Hey if Khan can pull it off, I won't be mad at him if he doesn't fight GGG. The world knows he's not a middleweight. I'm referring to the disgraceful Mexican diva.

"I think Khan has the perfect style to beat Canelo.

If you're talking talent, I think Khan is definitely more talented than Canelo.

The only thing is, can he sustain Canelo's attack and power? Can he survive in the later rounds? But I think Khan is going to start good in the fight.

If he has a strong finish, if he finishes strong, he has a chance to win the fight. He has to be able to take a big punch.

But as far as style, I think he's got a good style to beat Canelo. But we don't know if he's physically strong enough.

            - Danny Garcia from BR.

Danny has this fight scouted PERFECTLY like most experts. I always said Khan will be winning on the cards but around round 7 he'll get KO'd He will get ****** and brave...

What I don't understand is where the money comes from? The Wilder Povetkin fight just sold for 7 mil total. That's a real heavyweight title fight, no catchweight, but Khan gets 8 mil all by himself? The champ is supposed to get 75% of the purse, that would be 24 mil at that rate. Who's paying for this? El Chapo?

I think khan and his camp are expecting amir to be so much faster than canelo...but i think they're gonna be surprised by canelos speed and timing. Canelo may look like a bit of a plodder, but to avoid getting hit khan will have to outright run, and i don't see him being able to fight the type of fight lara did. If he exchanges with canelo he will get hit.
