Simmons is a casual fan. He can name great fighters and fights but you can tell he doesn't pay close attention to the sport outside of FMJ/PAC. They talked about great fights and Simmons said he doesn't remember one great Mayweather fight. Lampley went one way with that statement and Simmons went another way. That part was interesting. There was another part where Simmons talks about the decline of boxing and what can be done to fix it. Lampley didn't bring up Haymon's name. I'm not saying he should've said Haymon is going to change the sport but I think he should've been brought up. I hope Simmons does more boxing podcasts but with him working with HBO i doubt we'll see anyone outside the HBO stable.
