Hi, I'm new here and I'm also an avid boxing fan despite the fact that the sport seems to be losing its popularity as of late.
The other day, I was watching a video collection of Tyson fights and I've noticed something curious when I was watching his fight with Andrew Golota, the Ivan Drago look-alike. Anyone who has ever watched Rocky 4 and Golota-Tyson fight, did you also get the impression that there was a similarity between Ivan Drago's saying to his trainer that Rocky is made of iron (or something to that effect) and Golota's display of cowardice and refusal to keep on fighting Tyson in defiance of his coach's insistence that Golota continue to fight (even the look on Golota's face being similar to Drago's).
Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but this has stuck in my head ever since I first saw the Tyson/Golota fight. I was wondering if anyone else thinks that Golota acknowledges the fact that he reminds people physically of Drago and plays along to that fact.
It's probably a pretty pointless and petty thread, but I just had to ask that.
