Hmm, good analogy. So do you think it was more of a psychological thing for Vargas? What do you think?

Ever got your ass kicked before??
I've dished out more ass whoopings than taken them but yes I have got my ass kicked. It's terrifying. I was getting mauled and muscled around. I used all my strength yet I couldn't get the guy off me. He almost choked me out. I somehow got out of it; he must have gassed. I seriously thought I was going to get choked out. It's very scary. But I lived. I'm not sure that would have changed me if I was a professional fighter though.

I honestly don't know what it was man. But Vargas definitely felt like it was hardened cast.

That is very shady of Trinidad and his camp if what Vargas said is true. The athletic commission should have seen that as a red flag and double-checked Trinidad's wraps.

Yeah, and anyone with access to his gym at the moment can confirm all of this if they ask him. He also brought up how he wasn't surprised when Naazim busted Trinidad for the Hopkins fight.

That sounds cool. I would like to hear his side of the story. Then you should interview Trinidad after to get both sides of the story.

Yeah. I didnt record when I went because I was star struck and I wanted to experience it as a fan, Vargas was one of my idols growing up lol. And it was just so cool walking in and having a casual conversation with one of your fav fighters. I did record random conversations I had at the Mayweather gym with Roger lol.

But a sit down with Vargas based on that fight alone is worth an entire in depth interview. I love behind the scenes stories like those.

Do you think that second low blow stayed with him for the rest of his life?
Vargas behavior changed drastically afterward. I can't answer that question, Vargas would have to answer that. But they looked pretty bad, he looked like he was softened up and didn't want to move around anymore. He did a decent job in surviving until the 12th, but pre low blows he was doing work on Trinidad in the 3rd and 4th rounds, but it all started in the end of the 2nd where Vargas seemed to have started his attack on Trinidad. After the 4th really, Vargas looked like a different fighter despite doing a good job in the 3rd and 4th rounds.

          That would be awesome.

So what do you think happened to Vargas? Why wasn't he the same guy? He never showed the same skills and ability to take a punch after the Trinidad fight. So do you think it was the hand wraps? Besides that, what was it?

He suffered neurological damage against Trinidad. Fernando was damaged goods and each successive match going forward accelerated his decline. His punch resistance fell off the table, his ring IQ plunged twenty five points and his balance was never the same.

He went from being an extremely sturdy, clever, stabilized fighter to a guy who would get hurt and/or rocked infinitely more easily and was far less educated about his approach. He would have "drunken" mental lapses constantly.. He would freeze in the red zone. It was extremely painful to watch.

I'm still a fan of Tito, but I lost some respect for him after that fight.
I lost respect for him as well.

Whoa, what is that? and what does that mean? Is that something that can't heal?

Damn, that's crazy. Are there any other reasons he wasn't the same fight, you think?

What is it? AKA Traumatic Brain Injury. Other reasons? IDK, he might have secretly been sniffing paint in the locker room before every fight after Trinidad. That's also a possibility.

You guys, wasn't the low blow from Trinidad just a veteran move?

On a similar note, did either one of you lose respect for Danny Garcia? He was also throwing low blows against Lucas Matthysse. Garcia had veteran boxer Bernard "The Alien" Hopkins teaching him veteran tactics like the not-so-accidental headbutt, holding, and the low blow (probably not that one). Thoughts?
