    Middleweight is a dead division.

Jacobs vs anybody other than golovkin or canelo isn't worth the date.

Lee is a decent fighter, but he comes up short every time.
What is a good division? Most division only have one or two people who's head and shoulders above everyone else. Ww and jmw division just avoiding each other to keep those records in tact but I'm not to impress witht the fighters in those divisions.

Why do people include Canelo in a discussion of the top middleweights? Because he beat Cotto one pound higher than Mayweather beat him? Who included Mayweather in a conversation of the best middleweights after he beat Cotto at 154? Why are we including Canelo after he beat Cotto at 155?

FFS Canelo is the lineal middleweight champion. that's why. FK what him or his team says about being super welter. middleweight division is from 154.1lb to 160. so yup, Canelo gets included.

Back on topic, this is an interesting fight albeit one that I'm not terribly excited for. IMO, jury is still out on how good Jacobs really is, and we know what Lee is at this point. A win for Jacobs says more than a win for Lee. I'd pick Jacobs by KO9 in a fight where both guys get knocked down early

oh, I dont know, maybe because he is the WBC / lineal middleweight champion, and hasnt fought at junior middle in over 2 years? That might have something to do with it......

As usual, Terry Ratface Trekas is missing the point. Who has Canelo ever beat to justify his standing as one of the best middleweights in the world? Beating Miguel Cotto at 155 lbs. makes you equal to Golovkin, Jacobs, Saunders, etc. at middleweight? Really?

I guess you were baiting OnePunch, but your point is irrelevant. Whether or not beating Cotto at 155lb makes Canelo equal to the other middleweights is irrelevant.

Canelo fought within the middleweight limit for the WBC/lineal middleweight strap. He won, and is now the champ. Case closed, end of story.

In my opinion Danny Jacobs deserves better, I was thinking the person who should be looking to fight Andy Lee is Lemieux.
Cinco De Mayo Amir Khan Vs Canelo Alvarez with co-main Andy Lee Vs David Lemieux now that would be massive and the co-main fight makes sense because both men lost a world title and they will be looking to propel themselves back to the top.

All of that said I think Lee could very well scare Jacobs, its a dodgy fight to take.

Lee has a good chance of winning this

Not because he's that good, but because Jacobs has a very shaken chin and doesn't look that hard to outbox

Who's dis*****g that? Not me. I'm dis*****g this idea that we need to include Canelo in the conversation of the best middleweights in the world. He's not in that conversation because he's never even beaten a middleweight. Why would we include him? Because he's popular?
