Arum says more HBO PPVs in 2016... but Taffett is gone?

What is going on at HBO Boxing?

Long-time ppv guru Mark Taffett is gone from HBO. Long-timw production expert Tammy is on her way out.

Yet Arum says HBO plans to put on more Ppv events than in recent times?

    Something smells rotten.

It sucks that HBO didn't put the Mayweather-Pacquiao PPV profits back into the sport. Instead that money went into their executives pockets.

Mayweather-Pacquiao wasn't just Arum and Haymon cashing out, HBO cashed out too.

I would have to research for the actual number, but it's safe to assume it was at least 3x their HBO Boxing budget in 2016.

I say put them on ppv.
When the ppv's tank, then maybe these boxers and promoters will realize how much they've been overpaying fighters, and boxers purses can finally be reasonable.

How so? From what I understand majority went to fighters, promoters, and cable/satellite.

CBS added $30M to their bottom line in 2013 due to Mayweather-Canelo.

Mayweather-Pacquiao had a more favorable split for HBO/SHO. 4.6M/2=2.3M each which is 100K more than Canelo. 3X was an exaggeration I admit, but 1.5X is closer to the ballpark.
