      Boxing isn't dead. It's evolved.

No longer is it a place where people go to retire broke (Tommy Hearns), retire paralyzed (Gerald McClellan, Paul Williams), retire brain damaged (Michael Watson, Magomed Abdusalomov), retire bitter (Marvin Hagler) or retire as a combination of the above (Muhammad Ali).

We see much less of people dying under dubious circumstances (Billy Collins Jr, Arturo Gatti, Edwin Valero, Alexis Arguello).

We now have a world where the boxers who entertained us can enjoy their retirement. Yes, that means the fights are less "exciting", but if that means we won't see situations like Dada 5000 happen in a boxing ring, I'm all for it.
