I have to agree, boxing has lost its luster for a while and the super fight or bore of the century May vs Pac hurt the sport even more\

arum and the establishment boxing powers are trying to starve out the shaytan behemoth beast al haymon created.

Bob Arum = GOP old establishment trying to hang on to power.
al haymon = black donald trump

leonard ellerbe = black rachel maddow
paulie malignaggi = italian don lemon

No way man. There are always peaks and dips in general interest, but it never goes away. Boxing always has highs and lows, it flows generation to generation/era to era. Sometimes it is up on a high and there is a busy scene with a lot going on, sometimes it seems quiet and slow but it never actually stops does it. It has been around in some form or another since God knows when, it endures.

Just in our lifetimes alone boxing will seem huge at some points and on the floor at others, and all the points in between, it is just the way the sport goes. It is unlike the formality other sports with leagues and tables with scheduled seasons that are laid out every year etc...It just flows from one era to the next - some high, some low...A lot of it is subjective too.

One person may claim that the scene today is dull, where another person may feel enthusiastic about it.

Haymon is working with Oscar, Who in turn is working with Top Rank. All this while Peter Nelson messages his old friend Espinoza $ signs and emojis.

Fights will get made sooner or later and are being made as we speak. Stop crying yank$.

We can get only three decent matchups in next years, and it's very likely that we will not get all three.
It's not dead, HBO and others are just adjusting their economic model, which for years was out of hand.
The days of fighters getting overpaid to fight bums is coming to an end.
Guys will eventually have to fight tough opponents or not make money, and PPV's will have to once again be stacked from top to bottom if not they won't sell.

I hate all these doom and gloom and ufc is taking over threads. Boxing will outlive us all. It's not going anywhere. How depressing to visit a boxing forum and you scroll through topics to read and you see this one, "Boxing is dead". Threads like these shouldn't be allowed. Close the thread and ban the posters. Killjoys.

That's only if you watch main events and don't watch undercard fights and other networks. If you're only going to focus on Mayweather, Pacquiao, Canelo, Khan and other big boxing stars then you'll eventually get bored. There's lot of good fights. Off the top of my head I can remember a dozen good fights I've watched just this month. Yeah, no big names but still pretty entertaining to watch. I browse through sky sports, showtime, HBO, boxing azteca, toprank and boxnation, PBC and they always have good fights to watch and there's always hundreds of very good classic fights you've probably missed to keep you entertained between the big PPV events.
