Glad to see Canelo have to acknowledge the criticism he deserves. He could simply let go of the 160lb belt instead of pretending to be something he keeps claiming he's not: Champion of the 160lbers.

As far as him claiming to be a 154lber, he should've validated that by fighting one instead of another 147lber. Since he's been at 154, how many WW's has he fought? Hatton for the title, Gomez, Cintron, Mosely, Lopez, Mayweather, and now Khan - 7. And how many actual 154lbers? Rhodes, Trout, Angulo, Lara, Kirkland, and Cotto - 6.

Again, MW is not 160lbs. It's 154.1 - 160. With that said, Canelo is free to weigh in anywhere he wants within the MW limits. The problem occurs when he tries to force other MW's to weigh in at 155 rather than up to 160!

Cintron fought Sergio and Angulo at 154 two years before Canelo.

Gomez was scheduled to fight Chavez Jr. At 157 before he got hurt. And THEN fought Canelo.

Mosley??? How does a boxing fan NOT know how many times Mosley fought at 154??? ODH, Winky, Mayorga, and a few other guys..

If your gonna just count the dudes lightest weight then why isn't Canelo an ex- Lightweight?

None of those guys I mentioned looked like they had ANY problem making 154.

Khan actually is bigger and has lost ZERO of his hand speed. He was showing off that even with the extra weight he still has world class speed. The extra weight might even help his neck and chin out... I still thinks he's getting KOd though. Hell be winning on the cards though.

Golovkin and everyone else are free to lobby with the boxing commissions to get rid of catchweights.

Until then...Canelo calls the shots on what he's doing. Especially if other fighters ARE willing to take the risk.

To me the money is, if GGG isn't willing to step up yet again, let's get Saunders or Jacobs in the mix. At some point GGG is going to look like he's scared.

Idk why people get so worked up about this. Middleweight MAX LIMIT IS 160. It doesn't state anywhere in the rulebook you must fight at 160- again, AT A MAX OF 160 but you're able to fight below if you wish to. Dont get me wrong, it sucks for guys like GGG, but the fact are that canelo is doing nothing wrong. Like Floyd once said, moving up in weight it's a process that shouldn't be rushed. Your body will let you know when you're ready. Truth it, the WBC need to step in and enforced 160 Max or be stripped. Until then get of canelo's d.ick

Who's forcing or asking Canelo to weigh in at 160?

Fact is If Canelo wants to keep his mw title he will have to fight GGG @ 160 or vacate, but all this "I'm not a mw" talk is bs to me. Maybe if he wasnt dropping and gaining 15+ pounds his stamina wouldn't be s hit.
