Theoretically, if Bam Bam Brandon Rios was disciplined like Bernard Hopkins could he have stayed at lightweight and been really good? At 135 lb, he had a good record and was knocking guys out.

Could his body even stay at 135? or was his body just not able to, even if he was hypothetically disciplined?

Also, if he built muscle and properly filled out to 140 could he have beaten Terrance Crawford? I think that would be a really good fight.

Rios isn't as athletic as BHOP was in his prime. It's just not destined to happen.

He would have ruled the division for a while with the right match making. Rios at 135 was no joke, he wore you down and got you out of there in the late rounds. He practically sent Peterson's career into orbit in just one fight.

I would have kept him away from Vasquez and Abril though. The style match ups didn't suit him. And would not put him in the ring with Marquez. He could win but he'll take a lot of damage doing so.

His style of boxing will always result in a short career, he takes too many punches.
