I never expected he would fight in Russia, so fair play to him for that. I'm not gonna praise him for actually fighting his mandatory though, because he should be doing that anyway.

I knew Wilder would fight Povetkin.
But in all fairness, I don't know if he'll win the fight.
I expect a Hagler - Hearns style war to break out, possibly with early knockdowns scored by both Wilder and Povetkin. They're both well-conditioned athletes, but I give an 80% chance that someone is getting knocked out.

Those were bums & cherry picks.
Certain fans (the ones who probably like Deontay) just don't really follow the HW division since Euros took over.
Adamek has retired and come back multiple times, he is expected to lose nowadays. Helenius is a walking injury and his career pretty much over as well.
I imagine the Deontay Wilder sort of fans just google 3 year old articles on these guys and assume it's "some Russian" then get excited when one loses.
A win over Povetkin will be meaningful though. I'm not gonna react to petty behavior by doing the same thing. It will be a huge victory.

When bums beat other bums, then it really doesn't mean much...
When they can beat someone in the top 15-20, then you can get my attention. But beating CW Adamek, coming off 1-2 in his last 3 and out of retirement for a pay day, and European level stiff like Robert Helenius, isn't exactly an impressive feat. For them it is, I guess...
