None of those fighters he named will sign to fight him! Provodnikov's team is dreaming if they really think Garcia, Broner & Mayweather will face him! C'mon man!

Broner-Provodnikov is really interesting at 140, plus it will still be for a belt.

Much more winnable fight for Ruslan than the Crawford fight was. Plus he gets a cupcake to start with the Molina fight.

Good move by him and his team.

The cupbaord is bare at 140 for Adrien Broner (who I think has far tougher fight with Ashley Theophane than people are figuring now), so the doubt of a Provodnikov fight is misguided; you add that Ruslan's style is what it is (tough as nails, come-forward, face-first brawler) and I doubt that Broner would be all that terrified of the matchup either. Whether Broner would actually beat Provodnikov is left for fight night.

A Floyd fight is a dream (with a Garcia fight being highly unlikely), but, from the sounds of things, Showtime has been wanting to be in the 'Ruslan Provodnikov business' for some time now, leaving the impression that they want to see him fight (while also opening the option for the rest of Banner Promotions' fighters on Showtime).

Just because he joins Showtime doesn't mean Haymon will risk and start lining up his top fighters against the Russian. He'll most likely get the Molinas, Diazes, Soto Karass, Kamegai, Bundu, Collazo, list is endless.

Broner vs Provo is far from happening.

Haymon disposables like Porter and Alexander are more likely after the Russian goes through the Molinas, Diazes.... That would take ten years.

I like Ruslan, he's gotten a lot of hate for his style and having been trained by Freddie and perhaps even for being an hbo fighter for a time, but he brings it, and he tries to entertain fans. This was probably the better career move for him anyhow, HBO wasn't going to pick up Provo-Molina unless Provo was a big enough/growing draw. And a Broner fight is more winnable than messing around with Crawford.
