I would personally prefer fights on free TV, so I'm not too concerned with it. But if Showtime want to pick their ratings up, they need to have a consistent schedule with good fights on it. If they go too long without fights, people will just unsubscribe from them or they'll miss out on promotions for upcoming fights. I suspect that they'll see a steady increase in viewers over the summer.Comment

It doesn't matter if it's PBC on Fox,NBC,ESPN,CBS or a Showtime fight the same guy is still running the show. IF PBC closes tomorrow Haymon still got some one else to give him well over 400 mil no out of pocket expenses. Everything runs as normal.Comment

Massive fight? It did 300k viewers flopping big time on Showtime. And again the fact is since late last year NOBODY knows if any of these fights will actually end up on PBC. Too many cases of fights being leaked as PBC fights but being pushed back for months (ex Thurman vs Porter) or flat out shipped to Showtime (Jacobs) or guys now fighting on HBO (Khan). 8 PBC Shows booked through the end of April (Jan 4, Feb 2, March 1, April 2) the rest ARE NOT PBC shows they are Showtime produced shows that air under the Showtime brand NOT PBC brand. Showtime paid for them most of these fights would be going under the PBC brand if the money weren't running out. They put out 8 shows in last Sept alone and by the end of April that's the exact amount TOTAL they will have the first Quarter of 2016. That's not alarming? Or that they said all these network deals were monthly series. Yet it will be AT LEAST 8 months before the next PBC on ESPN card and not by design because they have pushed back the ESPN 2016 debut not once, not twice but 3 times according to Dan Rafael who I'm assuming is a great source on this since he works for ESPN. Or the long months NBC, SPIKE have gone without fights. The last Bounce card announced future dates for the next Bounce card which Dan Rafael reported this week has been CANCELED. They can't even afford those low budget Bounce TV fights lol
PBC put on 46 fight cards in Year 1; at the pace that things are going, PBC is again on track to air over 40 fight cards in Year 2.
Keep harping about doom and gloom if you want; PBC will end up putting on another 40 PBC cards by Christmas 2016, and you're going to continue to look foolish.Comment

Berto-Ortiz II has already been penciled in for April 30th (PBC on FOX), so you can add another show to your count. Haymon does what he does, and the schedule slowly gets filled in.

It'll be interesting to see if showtime can improve on their awful recent ratings

Overall that's a pretty damn good lineup. The fight that caught me off guard is Cuellar vs Mares, that one is going to be fire and I wouldn't be surprised if Mares gets himself another title.Comment
